There is something that is has been bothering me for a long time now, and I want to tell you guys about it. Hopefully some of you will agree with me. For those of you that do this, I hope you read this and just STOP.

I've been noticing that there are a lot of users on Newgrounds (probably of the ages 11-15) that give EVERY flash submission they see a 10. I mean...Common...seriously!?!?!

I'll go on the flash portal, watch a movie that HONESTLY isn't that great (that isn't subjective either. The submission would honestly be obviously bad.), and all you kids give it 10/10.

I mean seriously, stop.

It's distasteful..Give things an honest rating, tell what you liked and didn't like about the submission, and keep the 10 stars for remarkable works that you think you find AMAZING.

I dunno', but does anyone else know where I'm coming from?

I understand what you're saying but I think it's actually a positive thing to have a surplus of 10's. Anyone just starting on flash obviously usually spends a good amount of time and work into it, even if their actually skills aren't that good yet. The reviews act as a great motivator to continue and a reward for their work, still though the better submissions receive MORE 10's and higher votes anyways, so in my head it's purely positive.

I disagree somewhat.

There are two types of flash artists: One that wants a quick spotlight and 15 minutes of fame, and second that wants to improve their skill to be well-known in the long run for good work.

Most of the submissions that you see hit the portal DO suck, and I'm pretty sure their authors KNOW they suck. Then again, there are kids on the portal that really put effort into their submissions, and it shows.

Another thing, giving someone a 10 that doesn't deserve it isn't helping them in the long run. If they aren't good, and they head off into the crazy realm of the artists, they will think they are high and mighty and boom. There goes all their confidence.

Yes, and no. I've seen brilliant animators whose writing may suck..I've seen horrible animators whose submissions are hilarious to the point where you overlook the poor animation (David Firth's Jerry Jackson animations are a GREAT example).

So, it does matter. When you review something, you are SUPPOSED to comment on a lot of different aspects within the animation.

When you have retards that give 10 scores to submissions that obviously lack in pretty much everything, or those of whom give 10 scores to EVERYTHING they see, it brings the website down. And people get scores they honestly don't deserve..

I "interfere" when I see the quality of the website get hurt because of stupid members that don't know how to use it correctly..
