I got all excited thinking there was some sort of Newgrounds Nintendo DS port or something, but there was just this.
My disappointment started with the description, "Nintendo DS was SOOO last year."
ick.
Your artwork was pretty poor. The DS itself was just a bunch of simple shapes drawn by the line tool, and colored with the gradient filler. I could draw a ds like that in 5 minutes. On top of the simple design, you didn't draw the L and R buttons...pretty heavy flaw there.
And then there was that annoying 13 year old voice "Help! I'm in the microphone!" I'm guessing you range anywhere from 11-15 years of age, and your favorite tv show is either Naruto or Ben 10. You would have earned SOME style points should you have used a simple robotic voice (fruity loops voice, msagent, microsoft sam, etc. etc.)
Ick.
The icon you used for the submission is terrible. It's an image scaled down to the point where you don't know what the hell you're looking at. Even if it wasn't scaled, it probably would have still been pretty bad.
Gameplay was a bunch of buttons that set off sounds and switched to different frames in the timeline. Ohhhh boyyyy.
Nothing special. I could make this EXACT game in about 15 minutes. I may make that my next video..

Yeah, make it ur next vid. If you look at my news post you'll see this was a joke, and i'm doing an actual port of the DS and calling it NewgrounDS Lite. I don't have photoshop on this computer or fireworks, just paint so i can't make a decent icon.

The lion ritual was pretty funny, and it made me laugh out loud, haha!
The lip syncing was a little...odd. It's like you animated the character first and then did the lines over the animation.
Did you mean to do that on purpose?

I hate Clock animations, and I wanted to hate this submission, but well done!
I laughed the entire way through it! The Team Fortress 2 joke was great, as well as the line, "One less character to animate."

White screens that go on forever are fun, so why not?

The game shows up as a white screen when it can't connect to the server. My webhost had suspended my account and I had to move to a new webhost to run the custom levels/accounts etc. Everything should be fine now.

I liked the idea of caring for a plant as a game. The color scheme you chose really fitted the game, and made it really relaxing. The blooming tree on the menu screen was beautiful! Definitely throw more of those in there!
One thing that bothered me right away was the cactus plant...I mean, it's Zen right? Why would he be caring for a cactus? When I think of Zen, I think of China, monks, ancient Asian plants, etc. I don't picture a cactus...
As everyone said below, there was no combos...Did you test the game out before you posted it?
Lesson learned, I suppose! :)

Thankyou for the feedback, I uploaded the working version a while ago, and its working for me, I'll look into the problem further.
I figured a cactus would be easy to look after, so it would be appropriate for a first level. Maybe next time I'll throw some bonsai trees in there.

Looping the same movie clips to a song that's playing in low quality isn't art, isn't a submission, isn't anything but being LAZY (or just stupid and talentless).
This could have gone somewhere, and would have been a nice 3 second intro to a music video, but this was all there was..

ANOTHER sonic sprite movie?...we have like what, 7,000 of those on Newgrounds?
Extremely unoriginal, and definitely not front page material..
The "movie" was bogged down with the dialog...During the battle sequence, you stretched and skewed the sprites a lot, which really hurt whatever kind of "animation" you call that...

This is not animation, this is barely artwork.
Simply making movie clips and putting them in front of backgrounds to a MASSIVELY overused song is NOT a submission...

Daft Punk is one of my favorite bands, but that song made me want to punch an infant, haha!
I think you should try to do a music video to a Daft Punk song.

Well daft punk already has all that alien rock star stuff going for them, it's tough to compete with that, I think I might try an actual story next.. but I have a feeling people wouldn't react very good to a story I might want to tell.
